The Curcumin found in the turmeric contributes to many of the health benefits this drink holds. It is anti- inflammatory, immune boosting and lowers your risk of heart disease. It's a very soothing and comforting warm drink to have a the end of the night before bed.
Ingredients
○ 2 cups almond milk or coconut milk
○ 1/4 teaspoon ground turmeric
○ 1½ inch fresh ginger, grated, or ⅛ ground ginger
○ pinch of ground cinnamon
○ pinch of black pepper
○ 1 teaspoon honey, optional
fun fact: Black pepper is super important when it comes
to turmeric beverages because it supports the absorption
of curcumin.
About 4 servings.
Directions
○ 1n a small saucepan, whisk milk, turmeric, cinnamon, ginger, and black pepper. Bring to a boil.
○ Lower the heat and simmer the mixture for 5 minutes. Turn off the heat and add sweetener, if using.
○ Using a strainer, divide the turmeric milk into two cups.”
